Beijing World Park, with a collection of mini replicas of famous architectures from all over the world, is a theme park that attempts to give visitors a chance to see the world without having to leave the capital.

Beijing World Park: Opened to the public in September 1993, Beijing World Park is located in Dabao Village, Huangxiang Town, southwestern Fengtai District. Covering an area of 46.7 hectares, it has about 100 natural and cultural attractions from about 50 countries. The attractions are full size or small scale copies of the original. In World Park you can enjoy some of the most famous sights in the world, appreciate customs and practices from various countries and admire the world folklore parade, as well as taste exotic delicacies, purchase souvenirs and join in all kinds of amusements. Your dream of traveling the world in a single day will be fulfilled.

Popular Tourist Sights

Beijing World Park can be divided into seventeen sections focusing on different themes, such as Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Northern Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Oceania, Western Asia, Eastern Asia and Southern Asia. They are connected by water made in the shape of the four oceans.

In the World Park you can see world-famous buildings and historic sites, such as the Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Notre Dame, the Temple of Luxor, the Grand Canyon and the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang. Modeled sculptures can also be found, such as the Statue of Liberty, the Little Mermaid of Denmark and the Statue of Venus. The park also has many places of public entertainment, such as a laser fountain, fairy-tale world and plant maze.

Stepping into the main gate of the World Park, the first attraction you see is the Italian Terrace Garden. Going in a clockwise direction you will see the Asian sights, including Japan’s Katsura Imperial Villa, followed by China’s Qingyinjing (traditional Chinese gardens), the Great Wall, the Mogao Caves, Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, Iran’s Persepolis Palace Site, Indonesia’s Borobudur, Iraq’s Babylon Gate, India’s Taj Mahal, Burma’s Shwedagon Pagoda, Cambodia’s Angkor Wat and the Grand Palace in Bangkok. Cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge and you will see the famous Sydney Opera House and New Zealand’s Maori Huts. Next is Africa, where you can enjoy the Great Sphinx, the Pyramids of Giza, Abu Simbel Temples, the Karnak Temple and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Europe can be reached by stepping over the Bosphorus Bridge. Here you can appreciate the replicas of the Turkish Trojan Horse, Ukraine’s Saint Sophia Cathedral, Greece’s Acropolis, Rome’s Coliseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Russia’s Saint Peter’s Basilica, and the Arch of Triumph located in the center of the park.

Going forward you will pass a German Castle, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Big Ben. Walk along London’s Tower Bridge and then enter America: you will see America’s Space Center, Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the White House, the US Capitol, New York’s Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Go through the Grand Canyon and the Golden Gate Bridge and you will encounter the statues of twelve Chinese horoscope animals, a Dutch Windmill and the Warsaw Mermaid. The final stop is the Red Square in Moscow.

The global folk-custom parade, dance shows in the open-air theater, thrill rides in the cinema and other various performances and activities are held in Beijing World Park. International theater groups are also invited by the park to give performances. During the May Day holiday, the National Day holiday and the Chinese New Year, big and impressive garden parties are held in the park.

How to get to World Park

1. Take bus 477, 480, 692, 840, 967 or 969, and get off at Shijie Gongyuan station.
2. Take Fangshan Line to Dabaotai and leave from Exit A/B, you will see it.

Free for children below 1.2 meters (3.9 feet).

Nov. – Mar. : 8:00 – 17:00
